![]() We recommend that IT admins enable Microsoft Teams and begin using it now within their IT organization and with targeted groups of faculty, staff, teachers, and higher-education students. Although Teams is off by default, IT admins can easily configure access at the license level for Faculty & Staff and/or Students. Starting today, administrators can enable Microsoft Teams for their institutions through the Office 365 admin center. Teams is available to education customers as part of the Office 365 Education suite licensing: Education, Education Plus and Education E5, as well as existing Education E3 suites. It delivers enterprise-grade security and compliance, and is extensible and customizable to fit the needs of every team. Because it’s built on Office 365, faculty, teachers and students benefit from integration with their familiar Office 365 apps and services. ![]() Teams brings people, conversations and content-along with the tools schools need-together in one place so they can easily collaborate to achieve more. Microsoft Teams is the chat-based workspace in Office 365 Education.
